Sorry it’s been a little while since my last post. I’ve been busy training, traveling and getting ready for Oct. 1! Training has been great; my body is feeling great, and my mind is as well. I have been doing my traditional training at AMA, No Limits, boxing w/ Mark Henry, as well as getting some time in at Renzo’s and Ricardo Almeida’s. If I have to miss a day at AMA for one reason or another, I gotta make it up, and Ricardo has been a great asset to my training. I don’t officially have a boss per se, but I am my own boss. I hold myself to the highest standard. Many Sunday mornings, I’d rather sleep in and stay at my fiance’s in Harrisburg, but the “boss” side of me won’t allow it; I get up early, drive 2 hours and train. I do have some variance of where and when I can train, due to the great gyms and talent here in NJ/ NY, so as long as I get it all in, the boss is happy.
I recently started working w/ our muay thai instructor, Kaensak. It really is unreal. He has fought thai since he was a kid. Grew up doing what thai fighters in Thailand do. Do yourself a favor and watch some of his clips online. It’s inspirational to see such awesome talent in such an awesome sport. Pretty sure a goal of mine is to fight a thai fight in Thailand before I’m done.
