Last week I touched on Urijah Faber and his take on self-belief. Following that theme, I wanted to mention another extremely valuable source who puts extreme emphasis on the power of thought.

When I began my journey in personal development, one of the first books I read was “Think and Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill. If there was one book most all business/entrepreneurial people know and quote, it’s this book. It’s a time investment for sure (320 small print pages w/ some complex thinking), but the principles are timeless, as the book was published in 1937.

As with any book, timing is everything. I read about half of it and put it down for several months. I became disinterested. When I picked it back up, something clicked. I flew through it and was enlightened so to speak.

Napoleon states, “There is one quality which one must possess to win, and that isĀ definiteness of purpose, the knowledge of what one wants, and a burning desire to possess it.” He continues, “DESIRE BACKED BY FAITH knows no such word as impossible.”

Be intentional every day and live with purpose. Be the tank, happen to the world. Don’t let the world happen to you.
