Ace Ventura Pet Detective – who doesn’t love that movie? I know I do.

Realistically speaking, there’s probably quite a few people who don’t love that movie, but I think there’s a collective agreement that Jim Carrey is great at what he does.

I was a huge fan of his back in the day, but as he turned serious, I turned the other way. I never grew into his more serious roles, but it never clouded my opinion of him as a professional. He’s a trailblazer.

As part of my weekly (daily) routine of scouring the internet for inspirational content, for both my enjoyment and to share with others, I came across one of Carrey’s videos posted a year ago. It’s one of the best videos I’ve ever seen. He dropped several game changing quotes throughout.

Carrey said, “I’ve often said that I wished people could realize all their dreams and wealth and fame so that they could see that it’s not where they’re going to find their sense of completion.”

He goes on to say that most of us “live in fear disguised as practicality, that what we really want seems impossibly out of reach and ridiculous to expect, so we dare to ask the universe for it.” He continues, “I’m saying, I’m the proof that you can ask the universe for it.”

There’s nothing better than to witness someone who asks the universe for it, and then goes after it.

I’ve been working on a course to help people “go after it” and have mentioned it a few times in previous posts. The course, “A Fighter’s Mindset”, is designed for leaders and coaches to reassess/make improvements in their mindset as a leader.

I don’t buy excuses. If you want something, you get after it. If you fall short, you look at yourself in the mirror, acknowledge your honest effort and move forward with the knowledge and experience gained.

when you have a strong desire to lead by example, operate with a standard of excellence and stop making excuses, “A Fighter’s Mindset” is for you.

Program information can be found here. I’ll be offering a handful of spots as I begin to formally promote the program. I offer individual or small group (4 people – perfect for a coaching staff or department) interaction.

If you have any questions, please click here and I’ll get back to you ASAP.

Go out and demand it from the universe!
