(First and foremost, this is not meant to be a direct plug for my sponsor, InMotionMeals.com, rather what I have learned in such a short time from putting into practice what they have taught me.)
After talking w/ IMM, one of my primary sponsors, I decided I’d give a REAL diet a shot. Yes, I always eat decently, but I wanted to take it to the next level to see if it would effect my performance. To be honest, I’m also sick of being the skinny guy at 170!
What I’ve come to realize personally in such a short time is: my diet was actually awful, my body was terribly undernourished, and eating right takes a lot of freaking effort! I’m currently eating seven well balanced meals daily, all of them prepared by IMM. That means I’m eating a meal every 2-3 hours. That IS NOT easy, it’s tough as heck! But it’s worth it in the hopes that the results will speak for themselves.
And perhaps more importantly, I’ve realized very quickly that we, as a country, are so unhealthy, and people are ALWAYS looking for the easy way to lose weight, the magic supplement that will take it all off. “How can I sit on my butt and lose weight???”
I’m not expert, only an athlete, but there is no secret, easy way. If it’s tough for me to do, as a pro athlete, it’s most likely going to be tough for you. But make a commitment, talk to someone who knows. If you don’t know someone who knows, email me and I’ll put you in contact w/ someone I know. Don Messing (strength coach) ALWAYS used to tell me how to do it right, and I never fully listened. I’m not going to lie, part of this is so he can see me all buff and healthy, and I’m on my way.
The reality is, if you want to get healthy, start working out and stop eating junk!!! Stop making excuses…too expensive, too difficult, I travel too much, blah blah blah, and get on it!!!
