By Henry Winkler
My quick notes: This is a really fun book, and I’m looking forward to reading more in this series. Hank is our fourth grade friend who’s described as “the world’s greatest underachiever.” This is a fun, light appropriate read for kids as young as four (my son is four). It’s a bit softer than other chapter book series I’ve read, meaning that I have to edit less when reading to my kids (They’re younger than the targeted age of middle school age series books, so this is understandable, and par for the course. I expect to have to edit some words.) I’m a big fan of Hank and his adventures (my kids are, too!). This book is based on his essay-assignment-turned-project that describes what he did during the summer.
